Meet Anna, the face behind Skin Gal!
My love for skincare came as a young teen when I struggled with acne. Acne runs in my family, so unfortunately there was no escaping it! I fell in love with skincare and makeup trying all sorts of things to cover and clear my skin. After high school, I attended Esthetics school at Austin Kade Academy, near my hometown in Idaho, and quickly fell in love with the process of helping others find joy in the way they look and feel! After graduating from school, I moved to Kansas City and was incredibly discouraged when I found out that my education from Idaho would not transfer and I would need to go back to Esthetic school. I put my dreams on hold and followed my passion for fashion and worked in retail for ten years helping people feel great in the clothes they wore. After a few years of burn out, I re-enrolled in Esthetics school at Johnson County Community College, where I received an outstanding education that made the second time in school worth the time and money! After graduating, I found a job in a spa where I could grow my skills and knowledge, and that is where I fell back in love with helping people who struggle with acne. After two years in that space, I decided to take the leap and open my studio where I can customize every facial to precisely what your skin needs! I believe that skincare can be simple and approachable and I am here to take the confusion of it for you! Outside of the studio, I love spending time with my four cats, drinking delicious lattes and cocktails, trying new places to eat, and road-tripping to National Parks with my husband.
